This is a cast resin statuette of a Buddha being sheltered by the hood of a Naga, the semi-divine serpent from Thai and Buddhist folklore.
The Buddhist Naga often takes the form of a great cobra, depicted with one or multiple heads. The Naga shown here is known as Mucilanda, who sheltered the Buddha from a great storm after he had achieved enlightenment.
